How do I know if my teen needs therapy?

Why this resource is helpful:

Quoted From: https://steadypeacetherapy.com/teen-counseling-in-vancouver-washington

"Sometimes your teen will say they need therapy. Unfortunately, most of the time, it"s not that easy. Your teen may know that they are struggling, but they often don"t know what they need. If your teen seems under extra stress or has withdrawn considerably, this could be a sign that therapy could be helpful. You may also be aware of environmental changes like changes at school or with friends that might indicate the need for extra support. If you see a sudden change in mood or drastic mood swings, it"s always a good idea to check in with your child and assess what they need. After speaking with them, you may have a good idea of the next course of action. If you"re still unsure, that might be a good time to have a consultation with a therapist that could further assess the needs of your teen."
